About the Role
We are seeking a skilled DevOps engineer to lead the adoption of modern DevOps practices across our teams and environments.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure using AWS services including ECS, ECR, RDS, CloudFormation, and Secrets Manager.
You will also champion modern DevOps practices across engineering teams, aligning with business and security goals.
Additionally, you will build and maintain robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
You will develop and manage CI/CD pipelines with integrated secrets management, testing gates, and rollback strategies.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in AWS, particularly ECS, ECR, RDS, CloudFormation, and Secrets Manager.
They will also have a deep understanding of high availability, failover, and cost optimization in cloud architecture.
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required. Additionally, 5+ years of proven experience leading DevOps functions in mid-to-large scale cloud environments is necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS services.
- Champion modern DevOps practices across engineering teams.
- Build and maintain robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines.
- Oversee containerization and orchestration.
- Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and observability tools.
- Define and uphold reliability metrics.
- Mentor team members and promote knowledge sharing.
- Evaluate operational excellence through proactive ownership of patching, backups, and disaster recovery strategies.
