This is an exciting opportunity to join our organization as a Security Governance & Risk Lead. In this strategic and high-impact position, you will be responsible for ensuring our compliance with defence security frameworks.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leading our security governance and risk management processes across multiple sites and programs.
  • Ensuring that all defence security frameworks are met.
  • Developing and delivering security awareness and training programs.
  • Conducting and guiding security risk assessments and assurance activities.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with security agencies.
  • Managing insider threat identification, reporting, and mitigation processes.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives in security governance.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Security Management or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in policy investigations, risk assessment, and/or security roles.
  • A strong understanding of compliance, assurance, and governance frameworks.
  • Strategic thinking and excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to identify, assess, and manage security risks and threats.
  • A passion for fostering a positive and proactive security culture.
  • Collaborative team working and high integrity.

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance (NV1). Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
