Cardiology Registrar Job Opportunity

The Division of Medicine invites applications for the Cardiology Registrar (Unaccredited) position. This role offers a unique opportunity to join our team and contribute to providing clinical services for the cardiology unit under the supervision of experienced Cardiology Consultants.

About the Role

This challenging and rewarding role involves duties in cardiology clinics, coronary care units, inpatient wards, inpatient referrals, echocardiography laboratories, and cardiac catheterization laboratories. As a Cardiology Registrar, you will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, working closely with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing clinical services for patients with cardiovascular conditions
  • Working in collaboration with Cardiology Consultants and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, applicants must possess:

  • A primary medical qualification registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency

  2. Ability to contribute to a multidisciplinary team

  4. Demonstrated understanding of professional medical issues
  5. Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of health and safety issues and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) legislation as it relates to 'Employee' and 'Employer' responsibilities
  6. Ability to develop and implement initiatives of continuous quality improvement within the designated area of work with a demonstrated customer-focussed approach to service delivery
  7. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and willingness to participate in Department/Ward Performance Management (Review) programs
  8. Awareness and understanding of Infection Control principles as they relate to the position's designated area of work
