Rearing Farm Assistant Manager

About this role:

This is a unique opportunity to support the daily operations at our Sandy Camp Breeder Rearing Farm.

As a key member of our small, multi-cultural team, you will work closely with an experienced Farm Manager to achieve short- and long-term business objectives.

Responsibilities include assisting the Farm Manager in coordinating all farm activities, ensuring tasks are completed safely, and undertaking serological monitoring under their direction.

Additionally, you will be responsible for performing administrative duties in accordance with guidelines, including completing relevant reports and documentation within specific time requirements.

Key skills and qualifications:

  • Previous poultry industry experience required, preferably in Breeders;
  • Conversant with animal welfare standards, legislative obligations, and Health, Safety, and Environment policies and procedures;
  • Self-motivated to work independently and manage multiple tasks;
  • A team player willing to learn and engage, manage, and direct staff;
  • Strive to meet industry best practice standards;
  • Decision-making and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Computer skills;
