About the Role

The Deputy Project Director will play a key role in the delivery of a major infrastructure project in Western Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned project manager to lead a team of professionals and drive the project towards its objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the delivery of the project, taking responsibility for key commercial decisions
  • Embodies and promotes the core Alstom values and contract-specific social procurement targets
  • Manages customer and external stakeholders' relationships, ensuring alignment with customer contractual requirements
  • Responsible for project governance, project strategy, and objectives
  • Understands and aligns project activities to contractual requirements and broader organizational objectives

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role, leading a complex portfolio or project in the railway industry
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Authentic leadership style, empowering team members, fostering open communication, and encouraging solutions-oriented thinking
  • Passionate about building and fostering sustainable relationships with advanced influence and negotiation skills to achieve mutually beneficial and commercial outcomes
  • Proactive, strategic thinker with a collaborative working style and ability to coach others, identify risks, and promote a safe, inclusive working culture
