The role of a Store Maintenance Assistant is essential in maintaining the overall cleanliness and tidiness of our store.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all areas of the store, including team rooms, toilets, and offices are kept clean and hygienic.
  • Using various equipment and cleaning products to sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and buff floors throughout the store.
  • Cleaning, dusting, wiping, and scrubbing shelving, refrigeration rooms, industrial ovens and drains.
  • Collecting trolleys from in and around the store and store carpark.

  • You will be trusted to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • You have a commitment to providing great customer experiences by working with enthusiasm, energy, and pace.
  • You have a keen eye for detail and cleanliness.
  • You are passionate about working safely and following Coles' safe work practices.
  • You can set priorities, meet deadlines, and demonstrate a solid work ethic.
  • You are active and able to do some moderate to heavy lifting, reaching, and pushing.
  • You are available to work flexible hours across our store trading days (including weekends).
