Job Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Specialist to join our team in Australia and New Zealand. As a key member of our Privacy & Data Protection team, you will play a critical role in implementing our Privacy framework and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.


About the Role


This is an exciting opportunity to work with a world leader in insurance, Chubb Insurance Australia Limited. In this role, you will assist the Privacy & Data Protection Officer with managing Personal Information Requests, data privacy breaches, and regulatory matters.


Key Responsibilities



  • Manage low-risk non-reportable data privacy breaches and incidents under limited supervision;
  • Assist with liaising with privacy and data protection regulators;
  • Maintain and update the Privacy intranet page;
  • Support staff trainings and training material preparation on essential topics;
  • Compile metrics-based management reports for the Privacy & Data Protection Officer.

Requirements



  • Qualifications in Legal Studies or a Law degree (admitted to practice in Australia desirable);
  • Legal experience in the insurance or financial services industry;
  • Experience in a similar role within a privacy and data protection team;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in operating systems and associated processes for conducting Personal Information Request reviews;
  • Strong time management, organization, and communication skills.

What We Offer


In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of $95,000 - $115,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also enjoy a flexible working environment, education assistance, health insurance discounts, and opportunities for professional development.
