Job Title: Senior Automation Testing Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Automation Testing Expert to join our team at XPT Software Australia Pty Ltd.

About the Role:

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled professional to work with our automation framework, utilizing their expertise in UI and API automation using Selenium (Java), Rest Assured, and Postman. The successful candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with Java, as well as hands-on knowledge of Playwright tool for UI automation testing using Typescript and JavaScript.

The ideal candidate should have experience in creating, executing, and maintaining comprehensive automation frameworks independently. Additionally, they should be familiar with BDD (Behavior Driven Development) / TDD using tools like Cucumber, Serenity, and Playwright-BDD. Experience with code coverage tools such as Jacoco, JSCover, Sonar, etc., is also essential.

The role requires proficiency in working with build automation tools like Maven and Gradle, as well as CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Bamboo. Furthermore, the candidate should have experience in version control using GitHub or Bitbucket and task tracking using JIRA or ALM.

As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will possess strong communication skills and stakeholder management abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks/libraries/tools for UI and API automation
  • Create and execute comprehensive automation tests
  • Maintain and update existing automation scripts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities
  • Implement and optimize test coverage using various tools and techniques
Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you will need to have:

  • Strong experience in UI and API automation using Selenium, Rest Assured, and Postman
  • Hands-on experience with Java and Typescript/JavaScript
  • Familiarity with Playwright tool for UI automation testing
