A Data Scientist Role in Aviation Strategy

We're seeking an experienced data scientist to lead our efforts in creating data-driven solutions for aviation strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in advanced analytics, operations research, and data science. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining optimization models for integrated planning processes, including roster management, slot allocation, and capacity planning.

They will also create predictive models to forecast planning parameters and operational outcomes, build machine learning models to identify patterns and drivers in planning data, and conduct advanced financial and operational business case modelling for planning initiatives.

Additionally, the candidate will integrate multiple complex data sources to create comprehensive planning analytics, develop automated reporting and monitoring systems for planning metrics, and create data visualizations and dashboards for planning stakeholders.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics or similar fields, and 3-4 years' experience in data-heavy Aviation Strategy roles, Advanced Analytics, Operations Research, or Data Science.

  • Strong ability to translate business problems into analyses to problem solve
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with large, complex datasets

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
