About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Environmental Health Officer to join our team at the City of Mandurah. As a key member of our public health team, you will play a critical role in protecting the health and wellbeing of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections and investigations to identify and address environmental health risks
  • Develop and implement education and enforcement strategies to promote environmental health and safety
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement policies and procedures related to environmental health
  • Provide technical advice and support to colleagues and the community on environmental health matters
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, regulations, and policies related to environmental health
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (Environmental Health) degree or equivalent qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of environmental health principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Sound technical knowledge related to inspection, education, and enforcement processes
