Lead GIS Analyst

A leading renewable energy company is seeking a skilled and innovative GIS Team Lead to oversee the development of data management, efficient map production, and spatial analysis initiatives. This role will provide an opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams in accelerating Australia's transition to a greener future.

About the Role:
  • The successful candidate will lead a team of GIS analysts, providing technical guidance and support for land tenure, data management, spatial analysis, leadership, and GIS administration tasks.
  • Key responsibilities include obtaining and verifying landowner information for development activities, managing spatial data according to protocols, undertaking spatial analysis to support prospecting and development activities, and overseeing GIS software, hardware, and network infrastructure maintenance.

Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for providing technical support to users and conducting training sessions to educate them on how to effectively utilise GIS technology.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a tertiary qualification in GIS, spatial science, or a related field, as well as experience in the renewable energy industry. Strong communication skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential.
