About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant educational institution as a Sport and Health Teacher. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering VET Sport and Recreation, VCE Health and Human Development, and VCE-VM Personal Development Skills & Work Related Skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching Secondary Sport and a passion for coaching and developing young athletes. They will also be able to lead by example, promote positive values, and foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Teaching VET Sport and Recreation (Year 1), VCE Health and Human Development (Year 11), and VCE-VM Personal Development Skills & Work Related Skills (Year 12)
  • Coordinating Secondary Sport programs and events
  • Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans and activities that cater to diverse learning styles
  • Mentoring and supporting students in their personal and academic growth

In addition to these responsibilities, the successful applicant may have opportunities to take on leadership roles in Secondary Sport Coordination or other areas of school life.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work collaboratively with colleagues, and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
