About Us

We are seeking a Senior Registrar or Ophthalmologist to join our Paediatric Ophthalmology Department in a senior training position. In this role, you will contribute to the provision of clinical services to patients under Consultant supervision and demonstrate a commitment to clinical teaching.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to the delivery of clinical services to hospital inpatients and outpatients under consultant guidance
  • Demonstrating a commitment to clinical education and participating in research projects
  • Coordinating educational sessions within the department alongside the responsible consultant
  • Maintaining clinical audits for the department on topics designated by the Medical Unit Head of Ophthalmology
  • Participating in the hospital's on-call roster

The hospital is renowned for its excellence in medical training and provides comprehensive support and supervision to trainee doctors.

To be successful in this role, you will have a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent and be registered with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner - General Medical Registration.
