Job Description

Our organisation is seeking a qualified Truck Driver to transport goods safely and efficiently.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy vehicles, manoeuvring trucks into position and assisting with loading and unloading of goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and follow optimal delivery routes to meet schedules and customer requirements.
  • Accurately complete delivery documentation, work diaries and compliance records.
  • Verify load documents, check goods condition and ensure loads are correctly restrained and distributed.
  • Adhere to all road transport legislation, fatigue management and chain of responsibility obligations.
  • Perform routine inspections of vehicle to ensure they are in good working condition and report any mechanical issues or damage to the relevant person promptly.
  • Handle dangerous goods (DG) in line with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and comply with all relevant transportation regulations and standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A current HR driver's licence – ESSENTIAL.
  • Minimum of 1 year (preferably more) work experience as a HR Truck Driver.
  • Certificate II or III in a relevant field is desirable.
  • A BFM (Basic Fatigue Management) Accreditation is preferable.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as loading and unloading goods.
  • Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and punctuality.
  • Experience as a long-haul driver.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management and a reliable work ethic.
  • A commitment to safety and applying safe-working practices.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • You must have unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia to be eligible for consideration.
