Job Role Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated Catering Team Member to join our dynamic team in a not-for-profit environment.

About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse group of people, providing high-quality food and excellent dining services to residents in our facility. You will be responsible for preparing meals, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, and supporting your colleagues in a cooperative team spirit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-quality food for residents, adhering to food safety standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring optimal working conditions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, responding to their needs and preferences.
  • Work collaboratively with peers to achieve team goals and objectives.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A passion for delivering high-quality care and services to vulnerable populations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • A Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • A good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness, and hygiene protocols.
