We are seeking an energetic and committed HR & Reconciliation, Diversity, and Inclusion (RD&I) Officer to join our team at Transit Systems NSW.

  • HR Responsibilities:
    • Address employee concerns, manage conflicts, and provide HR guidance
    • Oversee employee relations, performance reviews, disciplinary matters, and leave arrangements
    • Administer employee benefits, payroll, and HR-related processes
    • Maintain employee records and HR databases to ensure compliance
    • Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
    • Facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee growth
    • Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to improve retention
    • Produce weekly and monthly HR reports
    • Handle ad hoc HR duties as needed
  • RD&I Responsibilities:
    • Promote a culture of reconciliation, diversity, and inclusion across the organization
    • Design, implement, and evaluate RD&I programs, including the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and LGBTQIA+ initiatives
    • Facilitate diversity awareness training for staff and managers
    • Analyze workforce data to measure the impact of RD&I initiatives and report to senior management
    • Collaborate with various teams to develop inclusive transport services and improve staff training
    • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including diversity and ATSI partners

  • Proven experience in HR and Diversity and Inclusion roles
  • Solid understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and diversity and inclusion best practices
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deliver under pressure
  • Analytical skills to assess data and measure the effectiveness of HR and RD&I initiatives
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR software
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
  • Passion for equity, diversity, inclusion, and human rights
  • A collaborative spirit and ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders
