About This Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Newsreader to join our dynamic team in Adelaide.

The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, writing, editing, and presenting on-air news bulletins that are current, accurate, and consistent with brand style and broadcast codes of conduct.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, writing and presenting live local news, sport, and weather twice an hour.

Responsibilities:
  1. Research and write engaging news content that meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
  2. Edit and refine news scripts to ensure they meet the required standards.
  3. Present live news bulletins that are informative, entertaining, and engaging.
  4. Work closely with the FIVEAA News Chief of Staff, Station Manager, Content Producers, and Presenters to ensure on-air news content is current, accurate, and consistent.
Requirements:
  1. A strong interest in news and current affairs.
  2. An ability to work in a fast-paced environment, writing and presenting live local news, sport, and weather twice an hour.
  3. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  4. Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  5. The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
