Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team at Glencore. As a key member of our Mining Operations department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our databases, providing critical support to our business functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Administration: Administer and maintain the various databases within the Mining department, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • SQL Reporting: Develop and modify SQL reports to provide insights into Mining data, streamlining processes and improving efficiency.
  • Fleet Management: Administer the Wenco Fleet Management system, serving as the primary point of contact for technical issues.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain communication with regard to the Fleet Management System parts inventory.
  • IT Collaboration: Liaise with IT personnel to ensure security and protection of systems and data, and plan and manage system requirements in support of Mine Systems.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Coordinate end of month (EOM) reporting for the Mining department.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Working experience with SQL Server-family skills, including SQL DML, aggregates, and window functions, and T/SQL programming.
  • Configuration and Control: Working experience with configuration/code control tools, such as Git, and exposure to Python.
  • Visualization Tools: Experience with visualization tools, including Excel and Power BI.
