As a seasoned contracts professional, you will oversee procurement for construction services and engineered equipment on a major Mining Project. This role demands expertise in complex contracting within engineering, construction, and resource sectors, ensuring that the supply chain operations align with business ethics and client values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Contracts & Procurement Manager in executing project procurement and contracting plans.
  • Lead end-to-end supply chain processes, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
  • Manage contractor performance, claims, and risk, collaborating with legal teams on commercial negotiations.
  • Develop and manage tender processes, from issuance to contract award, ensuring terms and conditions align with client requirements.
  • Oversee procurement data systems and ensure compliance with HSE standards throughout procurement activities.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, planning, HSE, quality) for on-time project delivery.
  • Administer and monitor contractor performance, approve invoices, negotiate changes, manage claims, and oversee contract closeouts.
  • Support the expediting and material control process to meet project timelines.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Law, Business Administration, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field; MCIPS/RIQS accreditation is a plus.
  • Extensive experience in contracts and procurement on major projects within an EPCM or EPC environment.
  • Proven team leadership with a solid background in contracting strategy and negotiation.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders and present complex proposals.
  • Proficient in project and procurement software systems (Aveva ERM, Aveva CRM (ProCon), Omnicom, Aconex preferred).
