About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to contribute to delivering Council's Vision for Campbelltown through enhancing partnerships with key stakeholders, particularly SWSLHD Population Health Unit and strategic health planners for the Western Parkland City.

This role plays an integral part in championing the relationship between the built environment and health outcomes, integrating health considerations into city shaping and policy outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver Council's vision via developing working partnerships.
  • Champion the connection between built environments and health wellbeing outcomes.
  • Enhance healthy and inclusive built environments in new and existing areas, promoting lifelong health and wellbeing.
  • Work together to identify projects from a healthy built environment perspective and embed health considerations into Council initiatives.
  • Broaden knowledge and understanding to influence population health programs and plans, facilitating health-focused urban design input into Council strategies.

Key Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning, Design, Landscape Architecture, Public Health or related fields.
  • In-depth knowledge of city shaping impacts on community health outcomes.
  • Experience delivering projects focused on improving health and wellbeing.
  • Detailed understanding of built environments, urban design, movement networks and health outcomes.
  • Able to build and maintain successful partnerships across multiple organisations.
