Inventory Control Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to manage critical parts and ensure smooth operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining optimal stock levels, minimizing downtime across site operations.



Responsibilities
  • Manage and control inventory of mining maintenance parts
  • Operate within the internal system to track parts usage, stock levels, and work orders
  • Oversee the purchasing function, including raising and processing purchase orders
  • Maintain accurate records and conduct regular stocktakes
  • Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to forecast parts demand


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience in inventory control within a mining or heavy industry environment
  • Proficiency in purchase order management and vendor coordination
  • Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail
  • Experience using CMMS systems - FleetMEX experience highly regarded
  • Solid knowledge of inventory management and control processes
  • Current Driver's Licence - essential
  • White Card - essential
  • Australian Working Rights - essential
  • Pass site medical and drug/alcohol screening
