Job Title: Horticultural Team Leader

This is a permanent full-time position that requires 38 hours of work per week.

About the Role:

Are you a natural leader with a passion for horticulture and an eye for detail? We invite you to join our team as a Horticultural Team Leader. This role will provide you with an opportunity to develop your skills in garden maintenance, leadership, and teamwork.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that will require ongoing maintenance of open space garden areas throughout the estate. As a Horticultural Team Leader, you will be responsible for guiding a team of gardeners in their tasks and ensuring that the gardens are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing.

Responsibilities:

  • Soft landscaping duties including mulch top-up, plant ID, and replacement planting as required.
  • Activities such as planting, hedging, weeding, pruning, and fertilising.
  • Providing guidance, mentorship, and training to the team to enhance their horticultural skills and safety practices.
  • Regularly inspecting garden areas to assess their condition, identify improvements needed, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Interacting with clients to understand their preferences, address concerns, and provide updates on maintenance activities.

Requirements:

We are looking for someone with a Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens, or relevant experience. You should also have a Working with Children Check, White Card, and a valid driver's license. A team player with excellent communication skills is essential for this role.
