
Data Scientist for Industrial Asset Management

Our organisation seeks a skilled developer to design and deploy cutting-edge AI-driven industrial asset management solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop clean, efficient, and well-documented Python code for industrial AI and data analytics solutions.
- Build and maintain data processing pipelines and APIs, integrating data from operational, IoT, and enterprise systems.
- Support AI/ML model development, testing, and deployment into live operational environments.
- Participate in rapid prototyping projects and iterative solution design within client sites.
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and domain specialists to define and implement technical solutions.
- Prepare documentation, technical reports, and deployment guides.
- Contribute to Agile development workflows and participate in team stand-ups, sprints, and retrospectives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, including data security and Defence contract requirements.
About the Role:
- The ideal candidate will have a recent graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
- Proficiency in Python programming is essential.
- An analytical mindset and problem-solving ability are required.
- Understanding of data pipelines, APIs, and database integration is desirable.
- Interest in AI/ML concepts and practical industrial applications is highly valued.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders is necessary.
- Self-motivated individuals with strong organisational skills are encouraged to apply.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government NV1 Security Clearance (Australian citizenship required).
- Desirable: Exposure to operational technology (OT), IoT, or industrial control systems; experience with cloud platforms, data engineering tools, or ML frameworks; familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflows.
