We are seeking a skilled Primary Healthcare Specialist to join our team in providing high-quality, patient-centred care to the community. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and managing a broad range of health conditions, referring patients to specialists as needed, and contributing to the overall wellbeing of patients through culturally sensitive and holistic care.
About the Role
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general practice, with experience working with diverse populations and a passion for promoting cultural authority and enhancing community wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- To assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of acute and chronic health conditions using evidence-based practice.
- To communicate clearly and empathetically with patients from diverse backgrounds, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and care plans in an accessible manner.
- To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, referring to specialists as needed, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of health conditions using evidence-based practice.
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care with a focus on prevention, early intervention, and continuity.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Relevant experience working in general practice settings, delivering comprehensive primary healthcare services.
- Competence in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and referring to specialists as needed.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or equivalent.
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner.

Mandatory Requirements
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian College Practitioners (RACGP).
