About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CAMHS Clinician to join our team at the Women's and Children's Health Network in Port Augusta. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for children and adolescents with complex mental health needs.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy, to promote positive mental health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and nurses, to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients and their families.
  • Develop and implement action research projects, quality improvement activities, and policy development initiatives to enhance the quality of care and services provided by the team.
  • Provide education and training to other staff members on mental health topics and best practices.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree/registration/qualification in a mental health discipline (e.g., psychology, social work, nursing).
  • Extensive experience in the treatment and management of complex child and adolescent mental health issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct mental health assessments and therapeutic interventions of a complex nature with children, adolescents, and their families.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds and with varying levels of mental health complexity.
