We are seeking a driven and highly motivated individual to join our kitchen team as a Sous Chef.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day management of the kitchen.
- Take charge of kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Assist with menu planning, food preparation, and service delivery.
- Manage stock levels and stock rotation, conduct stocktakes and assist with ordering.
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards are maintained at all times.
- Train, mentor, and support junior kitchen staff.
- Work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Relevant trade qualifications (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to step confidently into a leadership role when required.
- Positive and can-do attitude.
- Excellent time management, organisational, and communication skills.
