We are seeking a Mortgage Financial Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our financial services team, you will play a crucial role in facilitating financial transactions for clients.
As a Mortgage Financial Advisor, you will leverage your expertise and industry knowledge to achieve monthly submission, capacity assessment and settlement targets and contribute to the growth and success of our organisation.
- You will proactively engage with potential clients to understand their financial needs and loan requirements.
- You will assess clients' eligibility for loans based on creditworthiness, income, and other relevant factors.
- You will collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and information for loan applications.
- You will research and analyze various loan products, interest rates, and terms to recommend suitable options to clients.
- You will guide clients through the loan application process, answering their questions and addressing concerns.
- You will liaise with lenders, underwriters, and other parties to ensure accurate and timely loan processing.
- You will coordinate the preparation and submission of loan applications, supporting documents, and financial statements.
- You will facilitate effective communication between clients and lenders to resolve any issues or additional requirements.
- You will monitor the progress of the loan applications and provide regular updates to clients.
- You will ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and legal requirements throughout the loan settlement process.
- You will build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their long-term financial goals and needs.
- You will provide personalised advice and recommendations to clients, demonstrating expertise in loan products and market trends.
- You will act as a trusted advisor, offering comprehensive financial solutions and suggesting refinancing opportunities when appropriate.
- You will proactively follow up with clients to identify potential cross-selling or upselling opportunities.
- You will cultivate and expand a network of industry contacts, including lenders, real estate agents, and financial advisors.
- You will meet or exceed monthly loan submission, capacity assessment and settlement targets by actively seeking out new business opportunities though qualified networks.
- You will maintain accurate records of client interactions, loan applications, and settlements using the company's CRM system.
- You will generate reports on loan settlements, pipeline status, and other relevant metrics as required by management.
- You will continuously monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to adapt strategies and stay informed.
Key Responsibilities:

- Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and legal requirements throughout the loan settlement process.

- Trend Monitoring: Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to adapt strategies and stay informed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Financial Knowledge: Strong knowledge of loan products, underwriting processes, and relevant regulations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and sales skills.
- Organisation: Highly organised with a keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Self-Motivation: Self-motivated, proactive, and result-oriented with a drive to achieve targets.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using CRM software, loan management systems, and Google Office Suite.
Experience:
- Residential Lending Experience: Minimum 2 years of residential lending experience.
- Attention to Detail: Must have a strong attention to detail and be highly organised.
- System Experience: Preferred experience with Infynity and HubSpot systems.
- Valuation System Experience: Experience with Property Hub and other Valuation systems required.
Qualification:
- Certificate IV or Diploma: Certificate IV or Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking required.
- MFAA or FBAA Membership: MFAA or FBAA National Industry Association Membership required.
- AFCA Membership: AFCA External Dispute Resolution Membership required.
