We are currently seeking a highly skilled Estimator/Draftsperson to join our client's dynamic manufacturing team in Darwin, NT.

This role is vital to our client's manufacturing projects, and it is essential for the successful candidate to possess a strong background in tendering and mechanical or civil engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the success of our manufacturing clients' projects by utilising your mechanical or civil engineering background.
  • Engage in the tendering process to prepare comprehensive estimates and support project bids.
  • Showcase your expertise in reading and drafting 2D and 3D drawings to bring designs to life and support the production of high-quality products.
  • Demonstrate strong management and prioritization skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment, ensuring seamless coordination of tasks and efficient project delivery.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or relevant qualifications in mechanical or civil engineering, providing a solid theoretical foundation to excel in this role.
  • Any additional certifications or training in estimating, drafting, or project management would be beneficial, enhancing your ability to contribute effectively to our manufacturing projects.
  • Proven experience in a similar capacity within the engineering and manufacturing sector, demonstrating your ability to thrive in this environment.
  • Must have experience in the tendering process, which is very important for this role.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in estimating and tendering is advantageous; however, we are open to providing training for the right candidate.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and MS Office is a must, enabling you to leverage technology for optimised project outcomes.
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing industry would be a distinct advantage, allowing you to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.
  • Familiarity with MYOB/Inventory management would be advantageous, contributing to smooth operational workflows.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
