
Maternity Care Professional

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Midwife to join our team in the maternity unit.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled midwife to provide high-quality care to mothers, newborns, and their families. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with experienced obstetricians, midwives, nursing staff, lactation consultants, and allied health professionals to deliver exceptional women-centred care before, during, and after pregnancy.
The maternity unit comprises four birth suites, a 25-bed antenatal/postnatal ward, and a seven-bay SCN. Our midwives work across the birth unit and the ward as part of a supportive inclusive team that prides itself on its positive workplace environment. You will be responsible for performing duties under the guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse, Team, and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the hospital's care values and strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care to mothers, newborns, and their families
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and patients
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture
Requirements:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife
- Minimum three years' experience working as a midwife post-registration
- Experience in birth suite essential
- Flexibility to work across a seven-day rotating roster
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
