As a Inventory Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and inventory management systems.
We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to join our planning and warehousing team at our Braeside facilities.
The Role:You will be responsible for overseeing the control and flow of inventory within the business, balancing stock levels, ensuring availability, minimising costs, improving operational efficiency, and reducing losses.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Inventory Monitoring and Control: Ensure adequate stock for business operations, ensure inventory movements have been recorded systematically and accurately to maintain optimal inventory levels, identify and manage finished goods approaching shelf life, and ensure 3PL's inventory aligns with the company's stock control systems.
- Stock Management: Manage the end-to-end monthly stock take program, set up and manage periodic stock counts and audits ensuring system accuracy and reconciliation, monitor receivals, dispatches, transfers, and replenishments ensuring accuracy throughout, develop trend reports to support root cause analysis.
- Data Analysis: Analyse inventory data to forecast demand, identify trends, and mitigate potential shortages or overstock situations.
- Process Improvement: Drive continual avenues of cost-saving initiatives, implement and refine inventory control procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on inventory status, supply chain performance, and operational efficiency for upper management, take ownership of the ERP requirements for the warehouse, and perform adhoc duties as required.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will include:
- Inventory accuracy >= 98%
- Finished goods on hold
- Team DIFOT >= 98%
- Warehouse GMP >= 100%
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Proven leadership skills, providing direction and support to ensure the team delivers the warehouse KPI's.
Previous experience in inventory management with a strong understanding of inventory management software and systems. Intermediate to advanced Excel capabilities are also essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good numerical ability, excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory records.
