About the Opportunity

Uniting MLC School Outside School Hours Care is a leading provider of childcare services, offering a diverse range of creative and recreational activities tailored to each child's unique interests and abilities.

The service is licensed for 60 children during Before, After School Care and Vacation Care, providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to grow and develop.

This is a casual opportunity, ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children and are looking for a flexible work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality education and care to children, supporting their learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework.
  • Develop positive relationships with children, their families, and the community, fostering a sense of belonging and connection.
  • Facilitate play-based learning environments that are responsive to children's interests, strengths, and abilities, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Engage in healthy and positive relationships with school-aged children, promoting their creativity and imagination.
Requirements
  • Be passionate about working with children of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Have excellent communication skills, able to effectively interact with colleagues, families, and community members.
  • Experience working with children with additional needs is highly regarded.
  • Be reliable and consistent in meeting rostering requirements, demonstrating a commitment to the children and families we serve.
  • Have good decision-making and problem-solving skills, able to work with minimal supervision and make sound judgments.
