We seek a talented professional to join our team in Sydney. As an SME Actuary, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our business by driving meaningful change and contributing to portfolio growth and success.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality portfolio analysis to senior management teams and key customers.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and implement strategies that contribute to portfolio growth and profitability.
  • Leading the development of technical pricing solutions, including cost models and model monitoring infrastructure.
  • Developing and utilizing internal and external data assets to provide pricing and market insights.
  • Undertaking analysis to support senior actuaries in producing the Annual Business Plan.
  • Presenting technical results to a wide range of internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in a data-driven environment.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 5-7 years of relevant actuarial work experience in the insurance industry.
  • Fellow or Associate of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia or equivalent.
  • Strong data analytics capabilities, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage competing projects, meet deadlines, and manage staff.
  • Experience with SQL, EMBLEM, RADAR is advantageous.
