Experienced Freight Delivery Driver Wanted

A dynamic and experienced MR &/or HR driver is required to operate independently, making 6-10 drops/collections per day of various sensitive freight across Australia.

Key responsibilities include daily local deliveries to greater Brisbane and surrounding suburbs, with regular services to Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba. The ideal candidate will be able to work on their own predominantly, dealing with customers in a professional manner and raising issues with dispatch as needed.

Additional duties include loading/unloading freight and/or shipping containers, occasional trips outside of Brisbane when required, and assisting the operations manager when necessary.

The successful applicant will have:

  • a minimum of an MR Licence (HR highly regarded)
  • an LF Forklift ticket also highly regarded
  • a clean driving record (must show proof)
  • good health and fitness level
  • fluency in English
  • previous experience in fragile freight or furniture highly regarded

Flexible employment options are available, including hourly, salary, full-time, permanent part-time arrangements. Competitive hourly rate applies with all penalties as per award.

This is a flexible hours role, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime pay and penalty rates. COVID-19 safety protocols are in place to protect staff and customers, including contactless deliveries where possible and QR code check-ins for people onsite at the depot.

The successful candidate will be based on the road, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring timely delivery of sensitive freight.
