Respiratory Specialist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced respiratory specialist to join our team in the management of interstitial lung diseases and general respiratory medicine.

The successful applicant will provide consultant services for patients with respiratory and sleep disorders, including TB, COVID-19, and ILD. They will work effectively with medical colleagues as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing consultant services for Interstitial Lung Diseases and general respiratory medicine
  • Contributing to research and teaching programs related to respiratory medicine
  • Providing care for patients with respiratory and sleep disorders, including both inpatient and outpatient services
  • Working effectively with medical colleagues as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Communicating effectively with patients and colleagues

Requirements:

  • Possess or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency
  • Current NSW Environment Protection Authority license (if applicable)
  • Sound clinical knowledge in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine
  • Sound clinical knowledge in interstitial lung diseases and general Respiratory Medicine
  • Demonstrated clinical skills in the delivery of ambulatory care services appropriate to the management of interstitial lung disease patients
  • Demonstrated post-fellowship clinical and teaching expertise with a special focus on interstitial lung diseases or airways disease
  • Record of demonstrated achievement in medical research, by possession of a PhD, MD, or Masters by Research (or working towards the same)
