About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Lab Technician in a dynamic and collaborative environment. As a key member of the Compliance Department, you will play a vital role in supporting laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing samples for analysis, including sorting, labelling, and storing specimens.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are functioning correctly.
  • Record experimental data accurately and assist in data analysis under the supervision of senior staff.
  • Monitor inventory levels of lab supplies and assist in ordering materials as needed.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment, including proper disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Maintain detailed and organised records of experiments, procedures, and results.
  • Keep the lab clean and organised, ensuring all work areas are free from clutter and hazards.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor's degree or Certificate IV in a relevant field (Biology, Laboratory Techniques etc.)
  • Previous laboratory experience preferred, but entry-level candidates welcome
  • Ability to commit to 7-3pm and the willingness to be flexible when required
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Good understanding of laboratory techniques and safety protocols
  • Physical capability to lift up to 25kg and stand for extended periods
