Job Title: Skilled Dairy Processing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our dairy production team as a Process Operator. This role involves the mixing and processing of bulk products, including pasteurization and homogenization.

The ideal candidate will have experience in food or beverage manufacturing, particularly involving batch mixing of ingredients. Dairy experience is highly regarded but not essential. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures and forms are also key requirements for this role.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Bulk product mixing and processing, including pasteurization and homogenization.
  • Maintaining accurate records and monitoring daily production processes.
  • Ensuring hygiene compliance and monitoring CCP checks throughout the process.
  • Accurately following batch recipes to produce bulk yoghurts.
  • Recording quality and performance data.
  • Standardizing and pasteurizing milk for the yoghurt making process.
  • Closely monitoring milk plans and reporting excess or shortage of milk.
  • Coordinating with filling operators to minimize downtime.
  • Safely using chemicals for cleaning and sanitization.
  • Effective communication with Production and Quality Assurance personnel.
  • Liaising with maintenance regarding equipment performance.
  • Compliance with all Food Safety, GMP, Quality and OHS procedures and policies.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Experience in food or beverage manufacturing, especially involving batch mixing of ingredients.
  • Dairy experience is highly regarded, but not essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures and forms.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks, including manual handling of components and ingredients.
  • Ability to work rotating night and day shifts when required.
