About This Role

This is a part-time education support position that requires tasks to be carried out in accordance with established guidelines, accepted practice, and school policy under supervision and direction.

The role involves supporting teachers in the coordination of educational programs independently or under minimal supervision. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing routine support for teachers including assisting with planning of student routines
  • Supporting communication between teachers and parents
  • Communicating with teachers on routine matters related to students and/or other responsibilities
  • Providing basic physical care and wellbeing support for students such as toileting, meals, and lifting
  • Communicating with students to support comprehension of basic tasks and information
  • Addressing immediate behavioural presentations relating to specific students within a classroom setting aligned to school policy and procedure
  • Providing basic support and supervision for individuals or groups of up to 4 students within a classroom setting

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and have a commitment to professional learning and growth.

  • Excellent communication skills, including high level oral and written communication skills
  • Possession of technical knowledge and expertise relevant to the position
