Job Summary
We are seeking a sharp and proactive Legal Manager/Senior Legal Manager who will serve as the single point of contact for all legal matters within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary legal advisor and SPOC for all legal matters, ensuring compliance with local and international laws and regulations.
- Oversee and manage legal aspects of mergers and acquisitions (M&As), including due diligence, contract negotiation, and integration processes.
- Review and update company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
- Provide strategic legal guidance on intellectual property (IP) matters, including protection, enforcement, and licensing of IP rights.
- Develop and implement legal strategies to minimize risk and support business objectives.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed for specialized matters.
- Lead negotiations and drafting of key contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends to proactively manage potential risks and opportunities.
- Advise the CEO and senior management team on legal implications of business decisions and strategies.
- Conduct training sessions for employees on legal matters, including compliance, ethics, and risk management.
Requirements
- Law graduate from a National Law University (NLU) or a recognized equivalent.
- 7-10 years of experience in a legal role, with experience in a corporate environment.
- Extensive experience in handling mergers and acquisitions (M&As), policy reviews, and intellectual property (IP) protection.
- Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic legal advice to senior management.
