We are seeking a highly skilled Service Reliability Engineering Manager to join our team at Sony Playstation. As a key member of our Service Reliability Engineering team, you will play a critical role in delivering a great cloud gaming experience to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and manage a team of engineers across multiple time zones to analyze and maintain service stability in a 24/7/365 operation.
  • Own the day-to-day health, uptime, and reliability of all servers, storage, and ancillary infrastructure to ensure unyielding site stewardship.
  • Work closely with multi-functional teams to collaborate on requirements, specifications, schedules, quality, and technical acceptance criteria.
  • Develop innovative technical solutions that meet the needs of our business with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Identify tactical issues and emerging areas of concern, and develop reports and feedback to inform technical solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience managing an operations organization in a 24/7 global infrastructure, with a record of individual technical achievements.
  • Strong background in Internet service deployments and a deep understanding of Linux and Internet technologies.
  • Natural team leader with the ability to motivate and encourage personal advancement.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced and hectic work environment.
  • Capable of technical deep dives into code, networking, systems, and storage with experienced engineers.
  • Capable of leading a discussion with executive management.
  • Demonstrated experience in network and large-scale Linux system troubleshooting and maintenance practices.
  • Willingness to travel to domestic and international office locations on occasion.
