Job Overview

The Business Development Specialist role involves identifying new opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and growing revenue within compliance-driven industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively identify and engage new prospects in target markets through strategic research and outreach.
  • Initiate client conversations and build trusted advisor relationships through proactive communication and relationship management.
  • Deliver tailored platform demonstrations and value propositions to clients, highlighting key benefits and features.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns and attend industry events to expand professional networks.
  • Maintain a robust opportunity pipeline using CRM tools, ensuring timely follow-up and effective conversion strategies.
  • Manage existing key accounts, identifying upsell opportunities and providing exceptional customer service to drive long-term growth and retention.
  • Support client renewals and strategic engagement initiatives, fostering strong relationships and driving business expansion.
  • Collaborate closely with product and consulting teams to drive adoption and satisfaction, leveraging feedback to inform product development and service delivery.
  • Lead commercial discussions, preparing proposals and business cases that meet client needs and drive revenue growth.
  • Monitor pipeline health, providing regular forecasts and insights to inform business decisions and optimize performance.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in SaaS or enterprise software environments.
  • A proven track record of success in long-cycle, multi-stakeholder selling, with a focus on building strong relationships and driving revenue growth.
  • Experience working in resources, construction, or compliance-driven sectors, with a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
  • Familiarity with EHS systems, such as Cority, Enablon, or Velocity, is a significant advantage.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms, including HubSpot or similar tools, to manage pipelines and drive business growth.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse audiences and contexts.
