About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our team to deliver the Humelink Project in Sydney NSW. As a Site Engineer, you will be reporting to the Senior Project Engineer and will be assisting with the planning, execution, and closing of a project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the implementation of a positive safety culture across the Project.
  • Attend daily prestart and weekly toolbox meetings for direct work team to ensure safety is discussed, promoted, and issues are resolved.
  • Accurately record and track costs related to plant, materials, and labour costs to produce monthly accruals and assist in control of the budget and forecasting.
  • Understand the scope of works for any area of subcontract package responsibility.
  • Assist in the development of a detailed programme for day-to-day activities, look ahead programme, and daily program changes, including resources required and material deliveries.
  • Ensure daily shift reports are accurate and on time.
  • Assist in the tracking of off-site procurement items against programme.
  • Assist with the management of all lots in accordance with the Project QA system, including opening, closing, testing, and creating of material registers, lots are complete, up to date, and closed out expeditiously.
  • Assist construction team by having a thorough understanding of the technical specifications and providing technical support as required.
  • Assist in the management of subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers in accordance with contract requirements ensuring high performance in terms of time, cost, and quality.
  • Assist in the coordination and delivery of suppliers' and subcontractors' procurement items and services to the Project.
  • Assist in the preparation of Scope of Works for subcontractors and suppliers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role on large-scale infrastructure projects is desirable.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, with hands-on experience in site supervision and management.
  • Familiarity with construction safety regulations, quality control processes, and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Primavera P6, or equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
About GenusPlus Group

GenusPlus Group is an end-to-end service provider of power and communications infrastructure to customers in resources, power, utilities, and communications sectors across Australia. We have entered a Joint Venture (AG) with Acciona to deliver the Humelink Project in Sydney NSW.

The Humelink project is a new 500kV transmission line which will connect Wagga Wagga, Bannaby, and Maragle. The scope of HumeLink East Project includes design, construction, and augmentation of the existing Bannaby 500kV substation and 225km of new 500kV double circuit transmission line connecting the augmented Bannaby substation to the interface point with the HumeLink West project.

To meet our future energy demands, Australia needs to transition to a greater mix of low-emission renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar. HumeLink will deliver a cheaper, more reliable, and more sustainable grid by increasing the amount of renewable energy that can be delivered across the national electricity grid, helping to transition Australia to a low carbon future.
