Our care home consists of 124 beds, with various care units designed to cater to the diverse needs of our residents. Our primary goal is to prioritize their health, lifestyle, and well-being, creating a warm and welcoming community that feels like home.

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator to drive the energy, engagement, and participation of our residents in a range of social, recreational, and cultural activities. As part of our team, you will lead mental health and wellbeing programs that empower our residents' choices and independence.

This permanent part-time position involves working 4 shifts per week, covering a variety of duties in our care home. We offer a competitive salary package, which includes an estimated $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, and lead activities for our residents that meet their social and recreational needs, while promoting independence and increasing quality of life.
  • Assess and document the effectiveness of our programs, tracking residents' progress and adjusting them as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of a Cert III in Leisure and Lifestyle.
  • A Senior First Aid Certificate, which is essential for this position.
  • Previous experience working in an aged or community care setting.
  • Highly developed organization and time management skills.
  • The ability to solve problems independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes.
