Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment, including diesel engines, transmissions, and other mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Inspect and diagnose equipment issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  2. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
  3. Repair and replace malfunctioning components, parts, and equipment.
  4. Adjust and align wheels, tighten bolts and screws, and attach system components.
  5. Disassemble and reassemble equipment and parts as needed.
  6. Test drive vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
  7. Read and interpret diagnostic test results, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
  8. Comply with safety protocols and regulations, including WHS policies and procedures.
  9. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective work processes.
Requirements:
  • Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics or a related field.
  • Current HR drivers license or ability to obtain.
  • Experience with a range of diesel equipment and heavy machinery.
  • Physical fitness for hot and dry conditions.
