About the Role
Service Stream's Telecommunications Division is seeking a skilled Wireless Rigger to join our team in a permanent, full-time capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Work at heights on mobile phone base station structures to install antennas, feeders, and ancillary equipment.
- Operate cranes, cherry pickers, and EWP's as required to carry out works on site.
- Perform rigging techniques to install steelwork on structures, including climbing monopoles, towers, and guyed masts while attached.
- Conduct manual labor of various descriptions to complete works as required.
- Install antenna mounts on rooftops, poles, and towers using ropes, winches, and rigging equipment.
- Install earth kits and waterproofing of connectors.
- Install earth systems.
- Label and tag identification on feeders and tails.
- Install hybrid fiber cable for RRU equipment.
- Maintain the site in a clean, tidy, and accessible state at all times.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience within the Telco - Wireless industry, backed up with an understanding of rigging practices required in this field.
- Competence in the installation of hybrid trunk cables, termination of various co-axial cables, safe rigging practices, and ability to work safely at heights of up to 100m.
- Teamwork and customer-focused attitude.
- Previous experience working as part of a rigging crew on Optus, Telstra, or NBN Wireless projects is ideal.
- Mandatory possession of a valid Basic Riggers Ticket, Elevated Work Platform Ticket, and Safe Work at Heights qualifications.
