We are seeking an experienced Obstetrics & Gynaecology Consultant to join our team at Flinders Medical Centre, Southern Adelaide Local Health Network.
About the RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled medical professional to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care in obstetrics and gynaecology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing clinical services of the highest possible standard, including specialist-level care to patients, coordinating follow-up care, and providing clinical supervision to junior staff members.
Duties and Responsibilities- Provide appropriate specialist-level care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex cases.
- Coordinate the follow-up care of patients, ensuring timely and effective transition from hospital to community-based care.
- Provide clinical supervision to Senior Medical Practitioners, Trainee Medical Officers, and Medical Students, promoting a culture of learning and professional development.
- Contribute to an after-hours on-call service, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless patient care.
- Oversee the smooth functioning of the clinical area during shifts, maintaining a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification.
- Appropriate specialist qualifications and registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration.
- Extensive clinical experience relevant to work in obstetrics and gynaecology, demonstrating expertise and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise high-level professional judgment and medical competence in a multidisciplinary setting.

Salary PackageThe estimated annual salary for this position is $359,094 - $608,425 (pro rata), reflecting the level of expertise and experience required for this role.
