Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Anaesthetics Nurse Manager to join our team at St Vincent's Health Australia. As a key member of our anaesthetics department, you will be responsible for leading the nursing team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse manager to take on a leadership role in our busy anaesthetics department. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the department, including supervising staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring compliance with clinical standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the nursing team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care
- Develop and implement nursing strategies to improve patient outcomes and experience
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication
- Maintain accurate records and reports to inform decision-making and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Advanced nursing qualifications and experience in anaesthetics or a related field
- Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising and mentoring staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
