Finance Leadership Opportunity

Job Description

The company is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to lead the finance function and drive financial excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, cash flow, and budgeting processes.

They will also ensure compliance with all regulatory and tax obligations, drive financial performance through forecasting, cost control, and analysis of business KPIs, and support strategic decision-making with clear financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage financial reporting, cash flow, and budgeting processes
  2. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and tax obligations
  3. Drive financial performance through forecasting, cost control, and analysis of business KPIs
  4. Support strategic decision-making with clear financial insights
  5. Lead and mentor a small finance team and work closely with other departments
  6. Manage relationships with external accountants, auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities
  7. Business Development – Advise the Executive Team on pricing, expansion, due diligence, and funding proposals

Requirements

  • CPA or CA qualification and membership with a recognised Australian accounting body
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in financial management, preferably in healthcare, allied health, or related sectors
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance within an Australian business context
  • Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, or similar accounting software; experience with payroll systems and financial modelling tools
  • Ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across departments and with senior leadership
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with high attention to detail
