Job Title: Landscape Gardener

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $73,150 plus superannuation per annum

We are seeking an experienced Landscape Gardener to join our team at Job2Go Pty Ltd. The successful candidate will have a strong background in horticulture and design, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Main Responsibilities:

• Site Preparation: Clear, till, and apply topsoil to effectively prepare and maintain seedbeds, planting areas, and lawns.
• Planting: Propagate and plant a variety of trees, shrubs, flowers, and bulbs, following best practices to ensure optimal growth.
• Lawn Care: Improve lawn quality by adding topsoil, seeding grass, or laying sod, while overseeing mowing, watering, and fertilization.
• Maintenance: Regularly tend to landscape areas through weeding, trimming, and applying fertilizers and pesticides as necessary.
• Pruning and Support: Trim trees and hedges and install supports and protective measures to encourage healthy growth.
• Design and Planning: Collaborate with clients to develop landscape designs, select appropriate materials and plants, and establish project timelines.
• Hardscape and Softscape Installation: Design and execute various landscape features, including pathways, walls, fences, and outdoor furniture.
• Construction: Build and maintain gravel and paved areas, ponds, and outdoor structures such as pergolas and barbecues.
• Tree Inspection: Assess the health of trees and offer recommendations for treatment or removal of diseased specimens.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines while operating tools and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Relevant educational qualifications in landscape gardening or relevant experience.
• At least three (3) years of relevant landscaping experience
• In-depth knowledge of horticulture and strong design skills.
• Proficient in the safe operation of landscaping tools and machinery.
• Physical endurance and ability to perform manual tasks in varying weather conditions.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
