Community Development Officer

This role involves creating a positive impact in the community through various initiatives.

The Community Development Officer will be responsible for developing activities that promote volunteering, foster good volunteer engagement practices, and support community strengthening objectives across Boroondara.

  • Collaborate with the Volunteer Support & Development Lead to develop initiatives responding to current and emerging trends in volunteering.
  • Organise large events connecting prospective volunteers to community organisations, recognising and promoting volunteering.
  • Build capacity of volunteer-involving organisations and departments to engage volunteers through workshops, forums, or online resources.
  • Develop the Boroondara Volunteer Skills framework.

This is a fixed-term contract until June 2027. You will work in a hybrid environment and report to the Volunteer Support & Development Lead.
