This is an exciting opportunity to join Zeller as a Business Development Representative in Melbourne and Victoria. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in the region.

About the Role at Zeller

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and engage with SME business owners and decision-makers through various channels, including door-to-door prospecting, cold calling, email outreach, referrals, and more.
  • BUILD strong relationships with merchants by understanding their pain points and requirements, and formulate effective solutions to meet their needs.
  • Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail while managing a lead and deal pipeline within the Hubspot Sales Hub.
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of complex merchant business banking and payments requirements and translate them into simple, effective solutions.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences by using storytelling, case studies, pitch decks, and industry news to inspire merchants about how Zeller can support their business goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor analysis, and relevant market insights to provide valuable information to customers and drive business growth.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a BDR or SBDR role, with a proven track record of achieving quarterly targets.
  • A genuine passion for people and their businesses, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong commercial mindset, with a demonstrated ability to successfully manage and grow revenue.
  • Proven experience in prospecting, identifying target merchants, evaluating buyer interest, recognising decision-making processes, qualifying, creating value-based demonstrations, selling complex solutions, writing proposals, objection handling, and negotiating.
